- All workers' compensation jurisdictions in Canada allow a certain amount of time for claims to be reviewed for cost relief. If you do not request your refund within this time period, those funds are not retrievable.
- Each jurisdiction allows different time periods to recover cost relief - from 30 days to one year after a decision is made. Depending on which provinces you do business, early action must be considered.
- Knowing the various cost relief policies and how they should be applied is complicated. It is also an important part of your disability management program, to keep claims costs under control.
